Just so you know, I have my house out there too and haven’t received by one inquiry. They wanted to know my bank account number so they could wire money for the house! LOL OMG! You are really missing the boat on the buyers by selling yourself. Yes I’m a Realtor, but there are so few buyers out there right now and to not take advantage of where they are likely to seek help (an agent) is just plain in denial of the facts. Ok since everybody else has already lectured you I will just give you the numbers. On average For Sale by owner homes sale for 12% lower than homes listed with a realtor. Realtor commisions are usually about 6% so that means that not only do you have to all the work involved in selling your home but you also cost yourself about 6% of the selling price. Based on the average selling price in my city that is about $15,000.
But is you still want to give it a shot.
