I think there is some confusion here. What he CAN do is change the listing price at any time, up or down. What he CAN NOT do is change the pricing history that is also shown in the MLS.

If there is a short amount of time between the price changes, it will only look like a mistake that was corrected, especially if the difference is substantial. Don't worry, you're not bound by the original price.
References :
I obviously don't know what situation this agent is going through and there may be a good reason for what is going on, but I am a real estate agent also and I can change the prices of my listings in less than a minute and they update in real time.

Houses sell a lot faster at cheaper prices and your agent may be fraudulently manipulating the market--and manipulating you. If so, he is committing a crime and you should talk to his broker immediately and bring this situation to their attention. Good luck.
References :
real estate agent

that's a load of crap, of course he can change it...he's playing games with you

tell him to change it and if he doesn't you will file a formal complaint with the Board of Realtors. The price on MLS doesn't affect you in any other way than getting unwanted activity on your house. You don't have to sell at that price, so tell your agent to change the MLS listing or every offer he brings you you will reject. If he still persists, send his BROKER (every real estate agent has to work under the license of a broker) a letter or call and tell him his agent is out of line and that you want out of your contract with his firm...that will get you amazing MLS changes in a flat second...good luck (if i were you, i'd contact the broker anyway and tell him you want a different agent)
