how did you find a good realtor?

March 8, 2010 - 9:06 am 3 Comments

My wife and I want to take advantage of this buyers market and find a home to buy within the next year…any suggestions on how to go about selecting a realtor?

Ask friends, family and colleagues for referrals. Interview 2 or 3 Realtors. You will be best with a full-time licensed Realtor that you feel confortable with, is personable, shows knowledge and experience and who trully listens to your needs and likes.

I agree, ask friends and family members for recommendations. If that doesn’t work, I found my first Realtor through an open house. He followed up with everything he said he would do, wasn’t pushy, and I never felt rushed or just another number as I had with other Realtors. I have taken everything I liked about my experiences with him and tried to incorporate it into how I do business.

There are too many good Realtors out there to deal with someone who doesn’t provide you excellent service.
