I live in Missouri, can a realtor here help me find a home in Kansas?
If you are in a border city such as St. Louis, odds are your realtor is licensed in both states. Ask. If your agent is NOT licensed in KS he can still represent you but he must have a cooperation agreement in writing with every agent that he works with (could be dozens, if each seller is using someone different) in Kansas.

Only if he has a Kansas license.

No they can only deal with real estate in the state in which they are licensed because the laws are different from state to state.

In addition to the license issues already addressed, a Missouri Realtor probably isn’t familiar with the market and doesn’t have access to MLS. What most Realtors in this situation do is find a Kansas Realtor to assit you. It’s called a referral.
