Any good renting websites or know whom to get assistance from?

November 22, 2011 - 8:43 pm 4 Comments

three people.
3 pets (2 dogs 1 cat).

We are searching for a 1-2 bedroom home within San Francisco, but not past Daly City. We hope to be near a BART Station.

Aside from craigslist, what are some recommended search engines or apartments complex websites?

If not websites, who would be a good person to get assitance from? I’m thinking someone similar or along the lines of a realtor, that is if someone like that exists for people who are renting.

Also considering buying Foreclosed.

Find out what your local MLS (multiple listing website) is and do a little research of your own.

Many of those sites put you in touch with realtors but it’s a great starting point to see what’s out there.

Are there any websites that show sold houses with pictures?

August 6, 2011 - 12:26 am 3 Comments

My dad sold my childhood house last summer… I miss that house so much. Lived there 20 years and I have vowed to buy it if/when it goes on the market.. In the crunch of moving I didn’t get to take any pictures of the house… but, it was listed on realtor websites and had pictures. I’ve emailed our relator to see if she might still have the pictures (she’s a good family friend)…. I’ve found info on my house but no pictures… I know they were on the web once and I need to find them! Any suggestions? Sounds silly, yes… but, it’s very important to me. By the way, I lived in Bucks County, PA… if that helps nailing it down as to where to look. Thanks for the help!!
I’ve looked at google street and it’s not on there :( I have outside pictures of my house… I’m looking for inside pictures that relators took. I saw them online when my house still wasn’t sold… I just wasn’t sure if they had a site where you could access sold houses, etc.

Yup, the MLS.

First time home buyer without a realtor?

August 2, 2011 - 6:39 am 6 Comments

My spouse and I are looking to buy a house and we were wondering if we really needed a realtor to purchase a house? I’ve read on a few websites that we can use a lawyer when it comes to writing up the offer and just wanted to double check, as we are first time home buyers.

Get a realtor! You as the buyer get 100% of their services free! Seller pays all realtor fees for both agents.

I want to write a review on a realtor who was very nasty to me. Where could I do that?

She is not on any website so I am not sure. Are there any websites that have forms I should write it with her information? Please let me know. Tried to get over it but cant help being bitter how this woman was to me.

Every agent I know would show up on their own website or at least on their company website. If they are not on those then that agent must not be very active as an agent.

Most agent websites and most company websites do not allow for a rating system like ebay or amazon does.

Your best bet would be to call their broker and tell them what happened and/or to call the real estate license agency in your state and let them know. It could be the facts of the case may violate some law. If you think it may violate a ethical standard then you could call the local board or realtors and let them know- if someone is found to have not violated a law but they have violated a code of ethics they could at least be punished somehow and in very extreme cases possibly suspended from the organization.

What are some really good websites to find homes for rent?
I’m struggling to find homes for rent other than what is listed through rent.com, craigslist, and realtor.com. I live in Michigan, if that helps any.

There’s also homes.com,
http://www.homes.com/rentals/MI/County/MACOMB/

forleasebyowner.com,
http://www.forleasebyowner.com/z_DetroitMichigan.asp

rentalhouses.com,
http://www.rentalhouses.com/search/Detroit-MI/

mynewplace.com,
http://www.mynewplace.com/search?back=T&q=detroit%2C+michigan&ptype=h

Many of the best deals, however, are often first found through ‘connections’,
or by word-of-mouth, so given your church affiliation, you should check with
local pastors or church-groups in the area of Detroit you want to live.

What are some websites to search for listings of condominiums for rent in tampa,fl?

I would prefer to go through a realtor because I wouldn’t like to have any problems when it comes to fixing anything that is not working.

www.apartmenthunters.com I have never used them, but they have a storefront on North Dale Mabry so they don’t seem like they are vanishing after you rent through them. You can also just contact a real estate agent in the area you want to live
